Welcome to the Outback!
We invite your student to become a member today! Please stop into the Outback where you can meet out professionally trained team, experience our facilities and learn more about what we have to offer.
We host separate social events for middle school and high school students at each grade level, 5th through 12th grade, which are supervised by our dedicated event coordinators. In addition, we sponsor community service activities at the center. Our caring staff is deeply committed to engaging students in compelling activities and programs inspired by middle school and high school students, while encouraging team and leadership development.
We offer several levels of membership all of which include an invitation to a members-only event. High School students can take a leadership role as Student Governing Board members. Middle school members have the opportunity to serve on the Middle School Advisory Board.
Belonging to the Outback not only benefits your child and family, but ensures that the Outback is available to all children in the community as a safe, enjoyable and engaging environment.
If you are interested in membership, please visit our membership page for more information.

A fun haven for the youth of New Canaan, CT
Here at the Outback New Canaan Teen Center is dedicated to providing a positive environment in New Canaan where teens are able to relax, socialize, participate in self-directed activities, and have the opportunity to contribute to the community. The Outback is about pre-teens and teens voicing their perspective, interests and connecting face to face with each other in a safe, substance-free and pressure free environment. We are here to support their creative options for fun and explore the possibilities.
Every school year many students visit the Outback for good, clean fun. They join in a variety of social events and program, imagined and developed by teens for teens and in the service opportunities through which participants build a sense of purpose, community and personal value. While they are here, they are discovering healthy social alternatives and building the resilience, responsibility and resourcefulness they will need as young adults.
