Kickboxing has arrived at the Outback for those who want to get healthy, lose weight, gain self confidence, lean and tone, learn self defense and have fun all at the same time!

Thai Kickboxing is a real workout regimen that combines intense cardio with old school Thai boxer training. Develop essential self-defense skills and build up high levels of conditioning. At the same time punching, kicking (along with knee & elbow striking) and focus work will channel emotions and release unwanted stress. The class employs a range of equipment, mainly free standing training bags, and is taught by Sensei Anthony Smetak. These sessions will appeal to anyone really looking to meet a new level of mental & physical challenges.

Back by popular demand, Chef Neena is teaming up with the Outback for a variety of delicious Baking classes! There is something for everyone…

Try out our new classes and discover your inner culinary artistic talent! 

  • Baking 101: Cake Baking and Decorating Basics: This class will start with baking a professional 6″ butter cake! Next, we will learn how to make a layer cake, then moving to butter cream techniques, dots, scrolls, and shell borders. We will end with covering cakes with buttercream and decorating with fondant, with a focus on cake-covering styles. We will conclude with the famous Outback bake-off. A competition to demonstrate new skills and artistic expression, for friends, family, and Outback judges. Prizes will be awarded!

    • High-School and Middle-School Baking 101- Tuesdays, from 4:30 – 6:30 PM

      • May 14th, 21st, 28th, & June 4th            

  • Baking 102: Fillings and Fondant: This class will focus on baking a cake, leveling, and filling. We will also learn the fundamentals and variations of fillings, for both round and square cakes. Next, we will focus on texturing and mastering fondant for various cake styles. Lastly, we will learn to color, knead, roll, and cover cakes with fondant, flawlessly. The series will conclude with a bake-off competition, prizes awarded. All levels are invited!

    • High-School and Middle-School Baking 102, Thursdays, from 2:30 – 4:30 PM

      • May 16th, 23rd, 30th, & June 6th   

  • Baking 103:  This is our most advanced baking class, designed to prepare students for professional cake decorating. This course teaches exceptional techniques to design and decorate party cakes and ultimately, a fully decorated 3-tiered display cake. Students perform all decorating under close supervision and learn to make a variety of flowers and boarders. Class materials are provided, including decorating cake packets, tips, and supplies. In this master course, students will enhance the skills learned in the 101 & 102 baking series and will be exposed to decorating mediums that they may use to express their talents. Students will participate in the bake-off completion, at the conclusion of the series, and will take home all projects. 

    • High-School Baking 103, Tuesdays, from 2:30 – 4:30 PM  

      • May 14th, 21st, 28th, & June 4th    

    • Middle-School Baking 103 – Thursdays, from 4:30 – 6:30 PM  

      • May 16th, 23rd, 30th, & June 6th

Participation in the 4-week baking series and bake off competition, during the final week of class, is $200/person.

Calling all Middle- & High-School students, Father’s Day is right around the corner and what sweeter way to tell him he’s the World’s Greatest Dad than with a Trophy…that YOU made…and that he can eat! 
Join Jayne Benton for an afternoon of hands-on decorating instruction in a party atmosphere that will include cupcakes, new decorating techniques working with candy melts, and lots of fun!
Students of this class will learn how to make our adorable cupcakes for fathers and brothers. Students will also learn the basics of decorating and how to create professional looking cupcakes, and the tricks of the trade that make cupcakes so stunning. In addition to receiving cupcake-decorating instruction, Jayne and the Outback team will also share recipe tips and My Cupcake Party secrets.
Each guest will decorate and take home three cupcakes with a signature display. This class is appropriate for beginners. All Middle- and High-School students are welcome.   This workshop fills up quickly, so please register early.

 This summer, we will be teaching campers how to cook Italian, Asian, French, Mexican, and American food. The campers will prepare their own lunch with a desert daily. The campers will also have an art class daily where they will learn how to paint ceramics, use pastels, make bird houses, scrapbook, tie dye shirts, and so much more!
